Doing graphic design or to say it more precisely, doing vector graphics, is part of my creative activities. It is very much connected with my ownership of a Zazzle shop. I use the open source software Inkscape for creating vector graphics.
Working with Inkscape and Photoshop
The shape on the left was created using inkscape and photoshop. I made a shape in inkscape and imported it into photoshop. There I used it to create this ornamental shape by duplicating the original shape and changing the colour with the magic wand. I've already used it for a few zazzle products. It was fun coming back to inkscape after such a long time. Of course it needed some time to remember how things were to be done. ...
Bee-eater
I had a photo for this cute little colourful bird as reference, but my aim was not to create a realistic bird. I wanted to transmit the essence of the bird, which for me is the joy of colours.
Bear
The reference for this vector bear was a pencil drawing I did a long time ago. For the time being I decide to leave it as it is - as a bear silhouette.
